This award is reserved for collegiate and alumnae chapters, associations and hope groups that evidence the spirit of dedication and service which is exemplified in the life of H.K. Stuart, an initiate of Kappa-Nebraska.
The award celebrates H.K.'s commitment to serving others, and the personification of the Delta Gamma motto, "Do Good," in every aspect. Endowed by her daughter and son-in-law, Catherine Stuart Schmoker, Kappa-Nebraska, and Richard C. Schmoker, the award is intended to encourage members to participate in service projects.
· The award is presented every Convention year to at least one collegiate chapter and one alumnae group. The names of the winners are engraved on a special plaque that is on display at Delta Gamma Executive Offices in
· A generous donation will be sent, on behalf of each winner, to a Delta Gamma program or local program of their choice that carries out the mission of the Foundation.
The Seattle Area Alumnae chapter was honored with this pretigious award at Convention 2008 for actively promoting the philanthropy of Delta Gamma and the community spirit of our Founders. Our outreach and enrichment programs included work with Guide Dogs, Louis Braille School, Ronald McDonald House, Arthritis Foundation, Labels & Box Tops for Education, Community Disaster Preparedness and Collecting toiletries for a Women's Shelter.
